Crime

Christina Long told her aunt she was going meet Hannah, a school friend, but was in fact meeting an older man, a Brazilian national she had met on the internet to have sex. Through IP addresses he was identified as the person she was speaking with. His name was Saul Dosreis. He claimed her death was an accident. He was sentenced to 30 years for manslaughter. He is due to be released in 2024, after which he will be deported.

The take away is teach your children how to behave on the internet in much the way you teach them personal safety in the real world. You can't log every key stroke they make and kids will find a way to work around you because for eternity, that's what kids have done.
